Palette Painting IX is part of my series where I turn painting palettes into original works of art. While I was working on a larger painting, I used this canvas as my palette—and something beautiful happened. With my attention on the main piece, this smaller canvas began to fill with playful colors and soft blends, almost by accident.
This painting shows both smooth, mixed areas and bold, floating shapes. Some parts blend gently into the background, while others stand out with sharp contrast. That mix gives the piece a feeling of movement and balance, like it was both carefully planned and completely free at the same time.
