Portraiture is where I began my practice as an artist. My focus was always realism until I ventured away from it and it was not until college that I discovered landscapes and abstracts. Since that shift in subject, I have rarely ventured back into figural works. This painting is a rare study from a picture out of a magazine. I loved the captivating oceanic eyes of the model and simplicity of composition.
