Cherokee Rose Contour Illustration
Cherokee Roses grow prolifically along the roadsides in Appalachia where the sun is plentiful. Growing up, we walked down the long gravel driveway to where the bus would stop and at the edge of our property was a patch of roses. I always admired their wildness and at the same time how delicate their blooms were within the twisting vines. This illustration was created from that recollection and fondness, with their form dramatically contrasting with the hatched background.
