Palette Painting V
The Palette Painting series is a study of the unconscious mind in process of painting. As I worked on a particular piece, I realized that the blending that occurred on the palette was equally interesting to what I was working on. With my cognitive focus on the other piece, there emerged a playfulness and freedom in the palettes that began to intrigue me. It was soon after this realization that I bought many smaller canvases to then use as palettes and complete their own paintings on.
Palette Painting V is a really dynamic painting with a lot of variety in hues and value. The balance between cool and warm portions creates a playful and moving composition.
This piece can be displayed in any direction. It is portrayed in my preferred orientation.
