Small Blue Underwater

$667.00

In my exploration of landscapes and an effort to show them as experience rather than a still image, I am continually referencing moments found through experimentation. On of the processes that I use in order to uncover new perspective is using an underwater camera to take pictures through and up into the surface of bodies of water. Often the locations I am taking these images hold significance and this paintings reference is no exception. I grew up in the woods of North Georgia on family land that’s border is defined by a creek. The headwaters of this creek are from the Raven Cliff Falls, which I had not explored until 2018 when I took the image that inspired this painting.

This is one of the last remaining pieces from the series completed in 2018

There are some marks on the painting from age and transport that are shown in the images. If framed, they would be completely hidden and in viewing the piece they are not noticeable unless studying closely.
